From The Chief
everyone, as usual I hope this newsletter finds all in good
health and spirits.
This past month
we, as a chapter, were extremely busy getting things prepared for the 6th
annual 5 Star Event. As of this writing the 5 Star Event is in the history books, and if you
attended you know a great time was had by all. The event was a great success, and all five
chapters involved worked closely together as a team.
There are many in the Southwest Chapter that contributed to the success of the event and you
all know who you are, I am so very proud to say that the newly elected board of directors really
took the task to heart and did a fantastic job in participating and stepping up to help out
wherever they were needed. As your president I can honestly say I am proud of you people, you
guys are what this is all about.
We had some good weather, fortunately, and some fabulous entertainment. Problems were at a
minimum, and besides a handful of scheduling conflicts all went very well. Thanks to all that
helped to make this an outstanding event, this is what we as a committed group are capable of
doing as a team, also not to forget the other chapters involved including Gator Alley, Estero
River, Caloosahatchee, and finally Peace River .Thanks to all the Presidents and Vice
Presidents, especially our very own Bob Litterello who did a fantastic job getting things done to
make this an enjoyable time for everyone.
Next on our agenda will be our anniversary party.
Plans are currently being made, and we are
also recruiting people now for the Christmas Run and state meeting in December. We need all
the help we can get, so if at all possible please let someone know if you are available to help
out,
I would be so grateful if we can get some new faces to step up and help instead of the
same familiar faces always doing all the work for the chapter. We currently have approximately
170 to 200 members in our chapter and the same dozen or so people doing all the work.
If you
can help out in any way, shape or form please do not hesitate,
I am sure we can find something
for you to do.
