everyone, as always I trust this newsletter will find all in good health and spirits.
Riding weather is upon us and it is time to get out there and ride. Stay safe and always be
aware of your surroundings. There are things going on all over the place, check out the events
in this newsletter.
We are seeing more and more people coming out to Wednesday bike night at Victory Lane
Café. As the crowd continues to grow we will be planning our next big bike show. I am
expecting this to take place sometime in January we will keep you posted as the details
develop.
We as a chapter attended a benefit run after this months meeting for fellow member Tony
Marchese, aka Roadrage, the ride did very well congrats to Joker for a job well done.
We also decided, as a group of friends, to help a fellow member with a medicine issue. You
guys stepped up to help and I for one was very grateful for your overwhelming support as I am
sure the beneficiary of the collection is.
Special thanks to all that rode with us to Mike Smith’s service, Mike will be missed and I would
like to let anyone that was not aware to know of Mike’s undying support to this chapter over the
years. We could always count on Mike Smith’s security service to donate to the Southwest

HIPAA UPDATE
The Motorcycle Riders Foundation is pleased to report that HR 1076 will be marked up by the US House
Committee on Energy and Commerce tomorrow September 17th at 10 AM. The legislation to close the
loophole that allows insurance companies to refuse payment for an injury that happens on a motorcycle
will be marked up in open session along with ten other bills in the Rayburn House Office Building.
HR 1076 is expected to pass favorably, however anything can happen in a markup. In order to ensure
swift clean passage we are asking you to contact your Member of Congress IF they are a Member of the
Energy and Commerce Committee. That list follows this email.
This Committee action is the most important legislative activity since the full Senate passed a version of
this bill in late winter, 2005.  We thank Chairman Dingell, HR 1076 sponsors, co sponsors and their staff
for their attention to this very important matter.
The MRF will keep you informed on any future developments of this legislation.

The United States House of Representatives Committee on Energy and Commerce today passed legislation that would
make it illegal for insurance providers to exploit what is known as the "source of injury exclusion"
loophole, the Motorcycle Riders Foundation (MRF) reports.

Under current law, insurance providers can refuse to pay for treatment of an injury based solely on the source of the
injury, with no prior notice of denial of benefits for that source of injury simply by pointing to the “source of injury”
law that exists today.

Some sources of injury that can be used as a reason by insurance providers to refuse payment of medical bills are
motorcycling, snow skiing, ATVs and horse back riding.

This new legislation, HR 6809, known as the Health Insurance Source of Injury Clarification Act, does not entirely
replace HR 1076. Where HR 1076 makes it illegal to deny benefits for any injury that occurs during legal
transportation or recreation, this bill does allow for limitations of payment if the provider follows some rules.

According to HR 6809, if an insurance provider wants to be able to put limitations on payment for an injury from a
specific source, they must meet the following requirements.

+ "Make such limitations and restrictions explicit and clear;"
+ "If part of a group plan, must be disclosed to plan sponsor in advance of the point of sale of plan;"
+ "The plan sponsor and issuer of health insurance coverage provide a description that is easily understandable to the
participant prior to enrollment."

To summarize the legalese, your health insurance provider can limit payment for an injury sustained on a motorcycle so
long as it is spelled out to you in simple terms, well in advance of you joining the plan.

"HR 6908 is not a touchdown, but it's moving the ball a good way down the field”, said Jeff Hennie, Vice President of
Government Relations for the Motorcycle Riders Foundation. "Considering the fact that the Federal government just
bailed out one of the giants in the insurance world to the tune of $85 billion, I don't think Congress is in any mood to
mandate insurance to cover anything, even transportation."

"I do believe this is a very positive step forward on this issue and one for which the motorcycle rights community
should be very proud", he added.

MRF Vice President, Michael Kerr had this to say when hearing the news:
"The MRF applauds Dr. Burgess' efforts to bring honest disclosure and openness in the wording of major medical
insurance policies. We also thank Chairman Dingell for his leadership in guiding this legislation through his committee.
That being said, the MRF remains firmly committed to the passage of HR 1076. We will continue to advocate for
closing the HIPAA loophole, once and for all.  We stand fast in fighting discrimination by insurance companies against
anyone engaged in a legal form or transportation, such as motorcycling."

The bill's primary sponsor, US Representative Michael Burgess, had this to
say: "Congress is charged with making laws to protect people and when they have the opposite effect, we also have a
responsibility to work together to fix them. The time has come to fix this loophole in the HIPAA law and this bi-
partisan bill does just that."

Closing the loophole entirely and mandating that insurance companies must cover all injuries from legal motorcycle
use has always been a lofty goal.
It is still the goal, and it is still lofty, but HR 6908 at least backs insurance into a corner and doesn't allow them to hide
behind regulation, rather than being honest up front and that's a good start.

This committee hurdle is the first of many. There are still two other House committees that have some jurisdiction over
this bill and they need to vote the bill or waive jurisdiction. Then, onto the House Rules Committee and the House
floor. The bill must then navigate the Senate committee and floor process and ultimately the President will sign into
law. That's a lot of ground to cover before Congress adjourns in the next few weeks.

A
Tip on Safety
The Art of the Dip
……by Jerry Palladino (MOTORMAN)
say you're in a parking lot on bike night cruising
down the lanes looking for a spot to pull into. You
find a spot on the right between a couple of other
bikes and you make the 90 degree turn into the space. The problem
is, as you put your feet down when you come to a stop, your
handlebars are turned and you have to use the front brake. If you
squeeze that front brake instead of grabbing it or snatching it, you
won't have a problem. BUT, if you pull that brake in too quickly, you're
going down. Not only will you damage your bike, but you'll hit the bike
on your right, plus, your body will be caught between the two bikes
and you could be hurt and suffer severe embarrassment.
How can you avoid this situation, you must be asking by now? Well, there are
two things you can do. The first and most common technique used by unskilled
riders the world over, is to stop while the bike is at a 90 degree angle to the
parking spot and duck walk the bike into the space. If you don't mind looking like
an unskilled amateur rider, this technique works just fine.
But, if you would rather ride like a PRO and not have to backup and go forward
several times to get your bike aligned in the space, this is the technique you
should use. It's called the DIP.
Let me explain why this works so well. The further you lean a bike, the tighter the
turn you can make. The rear tire tracks inside of the front tire with these two facts
in mind, this is what you should do. If you want to turn right, first turn the
handlebars to the left, let the bike lean to the left, then turn the bars to the right,
let the bike lean to the right, straighten up the bike, and your in the parking space
perfectly straight without duck walking or dragging your feet like some kind of
sissy. Using this procedure, when you have to stop in the parking space, you will
be able to use the front brake as you put your feet down because your
handlebars will be pointed straight ahead. The dip will also help when you're
turning right or left from a stop. To practice the dip, get up to 5 mph, stay in the
friction zone, put a little pressure on the rear brake and turn your handlebars as
far to the left and to the right as you can.
You must let the bike lean from left to right. With a little practice, you should be
able to scrape the boards as you dip the bike side to side. When you can touch
those boards down, you've mastered the dip.
Let's

Motorcyclist Dies in Utah Speed Record Attempt
Sep 5, 12:41 am EDT
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (AFP) A motorcyclist was killed after losing control
of his bike at 385 kilometers (239 miles) per hour and crashing on Utah’s
famous Bonneville Salt Flats, authorities and reports said Thursday.
The American Motorcyclist Association said in a statement on its website that
49-year-old Cliff Gullett of Montana was killed in an accident during a time trial
at the location, around 185 kilometers (115 miles) west of Salt Lake City.
The AMA said Gullett was competing in the 500cc class during a time trial speed racing event when his
bike crashed. Reports said Gullett was aiming to set a record for the fastest two-stroke, two-cylinder
motorcycle.
The Salt Lake Tribune cited police investigators as saying Gullett was traveling at 239 miles per hour
before the crash.
The Bonneville Salt Flats have been used as a speed testing ground since 1896 and became famous in
1935 when British motor sport legend Malcolm Campbell broke the world land speed record at the site.

Views from the Vice President
Hello Brothers and Sisters,
Another month has gone by and finally we are getting into nicer
riding weather. We have a busy couple of months ahead of us. Oct
26th we are having a ride to Naples; it will leave Fort Myers Harley
Davidson, run through Estero to Naples Harley Davidson, for the
benefit of Burt Saunders.
We are hosting the State Meeting, and also there is the Christmas
Run to The Gulf Coast Center. It will leave Fort Myers Harley
Davidson along with a poker run. I am going to need a lot of help,
so if you can donate some time please let me know.
Our safety director, Ron Berg, was in the hospital, he is home now
and hope he gets well soon as he is missed by all. We have are
first Cape Bike Night coming up Oct. 4,

Just Watch the Wheels Go Around…
Well here we are again, another month has gone by. First, let me thank John Dainus, Road Captain for
SW Florida Hog Chapter in Ft Myers, for pointing out an oversight on my part, when I wrote on the ‘U-
Turn’ maneuver last month. John was correct; I had 1 too many zeros in the RPM’s that I quoted.
Second. I took for granted that you would know to perform this with your clutch in the ‘Friction Zone’.
That is a critical detail of this maneuver. Also, and most important, is your head and eye position. This is
something that we have to force ourselves to do because our natural reaction is to do exactly the
opposite. The correct position is to turn your head all the way around as far back as you can and look to
the rear, with your head and eyes up at where you want the bike to go, instead of our natural reaction to
look at the curb on the other side of the street or much worse, look down at the ground. We all should
know that a sure way to hit something with our bike, is to look right at it, and if you look down, you will go
down. With no doubt, the more you practice this and force yourself into the correct head and eye
position, it will become easier and to the point of habit. Thanks again John.
A little quiz
1) A cager is on the side street a block ahead of you, looking to make a ‘Right’ turn into your lane. What
do you do?  A) “Flash your Lights”? B) “Honk your horn”?  C) “Make EYE contact with the Driver”? D)
Wave your left arm above your head to make sure the Driver sees you?
2) There is a cager who is in the left turn lane of oncoming traffic, ahead of you, what do you do?
3) Another cager is at a side street on the opposite side of the street, and it appears that he wants to turn
‘Left’ into your lane. What do you do?
4) You’re coming to a red light in between two lanes of stopped vehicles, what should you be doing as
you approach the stop bar?
The answer to all of the above is the same… “Watch their wheels”.
In question 1, that driver’s front left tire will warn you of his intentions better than anything else.
In question 2, his front wheels turning into you, will give you the same warning.
The same in question 3, his right front tire will warn you in plenty of time to react, and in the last question,
the answer is the same; watch the front wheels of the vehicles on both side of you. They will warn you of
the driver that did not see you and intends to move into your lane and cut you off or worse, drive right
over you.
This is something I would hope all of you as riders should know. We can NEVER, take for granted that
they see us. Also, our lane position plays an important part in our defensive riding technique. In question
2, I hope that you would be to the ‘Right’ side of the grease line in your lane. If not, get there. It will not
only give you more distance away from him, but the movement of your headlights in his ‘Traffic’ sight,
may cause him to look twice, just what we want him to do.
You are following a cager that moves into the ‘Left turn lane a block ahead of you. Where should your
bike be in your lane, as you pass him?
The answer is the same, move to the farthest right side of your lane. Always ride giving ‘You’ the best
defense and lane position, never to them.
Next month we will be writing on ‘Crash Avoidance’. Ride Safe my brothers and sisters, Ride Free but
most of all Ride often.
Rubber down to the Ground.

EDITOR’S 2 CENTS
summer has finally taken its place next to spring in the
past of 2008. Overall it was a good one, yes it was
hot, but that is what Florida is all about.  But now the
time has come to really enjoy riding our bikes. They
even sound better in the crisp cool air of the fall and
winter months. We have a lot of annual events coming up, so we can take
advantage of this great riding time.
I would like to thank everyone for my birthday party, it was a good time to share with friends,
and unfortunately we had a missing brother, Big Tom “Hugs” Wallen. I am sure Tom was
thinking of us like we did of him. For those of you who do not know “Hugs”, he was a real big
guy who would give you a big bear hug to say hello. He, and his wife Ellen, moved to the
panhandle some months ago. He is a good friend and missed by all.
I would like to take the opportunity to make a truth a realization to all in the fact it is good to
know we have a brotherhood that tries to take care of its own, and the past few months have
given it the test, which we passed with A's. Those of you who have stepped up know who you
are, and it makes one feel very fortunate to be part of an organization that cares for its members
like we do.
Well brothers and sisters this is the time of the year I personally love. The holidays are around
the corner, the smell of mom’s cooking is in the air, and we have some great events to
participate in. The “Tag Along” for Senator Burt Saunders is after the meeting in October. The
Christmas Run, which by the way is going to change venue in 2010, coupled with the Southwest
Chapter hosting the state meeting, and culminates at the Cape’s Bike Nite, is coming up in
December. Please chip in and help this is a big one to take care of; we need all the participation
we can get. There are a lot of outside the chapter events taking place as well. So it is a great
time of the year for giving, and enjoying at the same time. See you out there.

LEGISLATIVE REPORT October 2008
Good Morning Freedom Fighters:
Important Election Season Is Upon Us

Lee County residents will help pick a new president in a time of war, rising
gas prices and a slumping economy. They will vote in an intriguing congressional
race. They will decide on changing the state constitution and county charter, on
legislative races and on local races from county commission to sheriff to property
appraiser.
They've already voted in a presidential
primary, to change property tax laws, and in
a local primary. With the primary season
over, they will have the chance to vote again
next month, in the Nov. 4 general election.
It adds up to one of the most historic
election seasons in county history.
Commissioner Frank Man, a lifelong
Lee County resident who began his political
career in 1974 in the Florida House of
Representatives, believes any one of the
issues on the upcoming ballot is worthy of
serious debate.
"Looking at the issues collectively, I
cannot remember an election that had more
very serious and significant issues all
crammed onto one year's ballot," he said.
The biggest race is for the biggest
job: the country's chief executive.
Democratic candidate Barack Obama and
his running mate, Delaware Sen. Joe Biden,
against presumptive Republican nominee
John McCain and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.
The general election turnout in 2004,
when George Bush defeated John Kerry,
was 79 percent. Could this be the year that
tops the 1992 turnout of 88 percent - the
highest total Lee's elections office has on its
Web site, which tracks turnout back to
1976?
In 1992, the country was unhappy
about a war and the economy. Another Bush
was president.
Still, Lee County Supervisor of
Elections Sharon Harrington's initial feeling
is the record will not be beaten. She does
not even believe the 2008 turnout will
surpass 2004.
"I have too many people telling me "I
don't know who to vote for." I don't know if
the running mates are going to change their
minds. I don't know how people are going to
feel about having a woman on the
(Republican) ticket. It didn't work the first
time," she said, referring to Geraldine
Ferraro being Democratic candidate Walter
Mondale's running mate in 1984. She
refuses to make a turnout prediction.
Bonita Springs Mayor Ben Nelson,
who has lived in Bonita since he was 4,
believes turnout will match the 1992 mark.
"It bodes well for the entire country,
and our community, that we're going to get a
lot of people out on a lot of issues," Nelson,
ABATE of Florida Inc SOUTHWEST CHAPTER
31
53, said. "You hope a lot of people come out
so there's no question."
Truman Wilson will. Wilson, 86, a Fort
Myers resident since 1934, when he made
the long trip south from Ontario, Canada,
said this election is the most important of his
life since1964.
"It was real significant to me that
Barry Goldwater become president, and I
went down the drain on that," Wilson said
with a chuckle.
Goldwater lost to Lyndon Johnson.
This year Wilson will be supporting McCain.
This election is about "digging out the
right people for the right answers, and I think
that's what this election will really prove."
Lee residents will have a lot of
answers on other issues, too, issues more
close to home.
Perhaps there will be no surprises in
the county commission, sheriff or property
appraiser races. The popularity of Sheriff
Mike Scott and Appraiser Ken Wilkenson
could carry them to big wins, the way it did
in the Republican primary in September.
And the incumbent Republican
commissioners Bob Janes, Ray Judah and
Frank Mann won their primary battles, where
a victory historically has meant success in
the general election.
Uncertainties come with the
constitutional amendments. There could be
nine, with issues ranging from a stronger
ban on gay marriage to a controversial tax
swap that's struggling to stay alive. To pass,
an amendment needs 60 percent approval
from voters.
The tax swap, Amendment 5, has
been most controversial. Its supporters are
led by the state Taxation and Budget
Reform Commission, the appointed 25-
member board that meets every 20 years
and can put items on the ballot. Commission
members, including Wilkenson, say it will cut
everyone's tax bill about 25 percent by doing
away with the revenue the Legislature
designates for every school district's
operating budget, and it will cap taxable
values on all non-homesteaded properties at
5 percent, or half today's cap.
A penny sales tax increase, an
abolishment of tax exemptions on items
such as luxury box seats at sports stadiums
and an expected economic stimulus would
cover the estimated $9 billion shortfall in
education funding, taxation commission
members say.
Opponents, led by Senate Tax and
Finance Chairman Mike Haridopolos, say it's
a bait-and-switch that would give Florida one
of the highest sales tax in the country at 7
percent and potentially harm education
funding.
So far, opponents are wining. A Leon
County judge threw out the amendment
earlier in August. The Florida Supreme
Court is expected to make a final decision
later in September.
Even if that one goes down, there are
other important ones, including Amendment
6, which would protect waterfront mom-and-
pop businesses from the property value
assessments levied on neighboring
condominium complexes. In other words,
small businesses will be assessed for their
current use, not their highest and best use.
"I would hope (everything) will
generate more and more interest in the
electoral process," Wilkenson said. "I'm
always embarrassed when we have a low
turnout. In Iraq, they turned out at around 86
percent under the threat of a gun."
Here's what's going to be on the November
Ballot:

D

Amendment 2: Only marriage between a
man and a woman will be recognized as

Amendment 3: Upgrades to existing homes,
to help withstand a hurricane or incorporate
alternative energy such as solar, will not be
factored in property assessments.
Amendment 4: Property owners can
volunteer their land to be in perpetual
conservation to protect it from development,
and all such decisions are irreversible.
Amendment 5: Money for public school
operating expenses such as field trips and
teacher salaries would be eliminated. The
Legislature will have to choose from options
such as raising the sales tax and cutting tax
exemptions to make up the shortfall.
Amendment 6: Working waterfront
properties will be assessed by their current
use, not their highest or best use, which
would protect those properties from
assessments equal to condominium
complexes.
Amendment 7: Faith based programs, such
as drug rehabilitation, would be protected so
they can still be funded with tax dollars.
Amendment 8: Junior colleges can place a
sales tax increase on the ballot, as long as
there is a specific purpose, such as
construction, and a limited time period of the
tax.
Amendment 9: School boards would have to
spend at least 65 percent of tax dollars in
the classroom; and vouchers ranging from
$3,500 to $4,500 would be created to pay
for a student from a poor family who attends
a failing school to go to a private school.
Lee County Charter Amendments:
Voters will decide whether the supervisor of
elections should be a nonpartisan position,
starting in 2012.
The county Charter Review Committee
would meet only every eight yearly, instead
of every four, but with 12 of 15 votes could
put issues on the ballot.
See you in the wind,

Chapter Chaplain Tom
Dear Fellow ABATE Members,
Why do We Act the Way We Do, Sometimes?
How Were We Formed?
Healing from the Bitter Roots!
__________________
Some of you, who have known us for some time, remember the black trike with the purple seats. It was a
great looking trike with lots of chrome and stainless steel.  We took home several trophies from car and
motorcycle shows. We started out being nicely excited about this trike as it was very comfortable and
easy to get seated in and get out of. But, little did we know, that during the formation and building of the
engine and, possibly the transmission, flaws were being unintentionally allowed to become part of its
make-up.
At 700 to 800 miles, the engine froze up, leaving us stranded on Interstate 75 in Lee County, Florida.  The
engine was allegedly replaced and we were sent back into the highways.  This time, while traveling on a
well-earned vacation in Colorado, the trike started leaking oil very badly and then trouble began with the
transmission.  The only good thing is we had the SUV and the motorcycle trailer about 180 miles away in
Denver.  At least, we were able to tow it back home to Florida. We discovered that some of the parts from
the first blown engine were left on the newer engine.  Also, there were just too many other items to
mention. The trike never became “right” and it was returned.
The trike, like many people, was formed with what are called bitter roots (Hebrews 12:15). The trike
looked great on the outside and many of us, look like normal people on the outside. However, there are
some things that helped formed our personalities and inner beings as we were in the formation stages of
our lives. It was speculated that one or more of the things done to the engine of the trike during its
formation, was that the engine bearings may have been the wrong size or overly tightened. So, the
analogy would be that when we were in our years of formation, someone may have overly tightened the
bearings of our personalities with hurts from family, friends, and those we really trusted and should have
counted on.
We think about the story of arguably the greatest scientist who ever lived, Sir Isaac Newton. His father
died before he was born.  Then, his mother intentionally left him in the care of others when he was about
three years old. He never socially adjusted to any of society and had difficulties in trying to establish
personal relationships for the rest of his life.  He could never trust anyone. One would suggest he was the
product of bitter roots.
Ask yourself, “How many times have I been truly hurt by parents, friends, family, and by those I have
really trusted?
The hurt can come from areas such as: personal divorce, divorce that has affected your parents and
extended family, child custody, abuse by parent(s) or step parent(s), losing a child or not being able to
locate your child, a crippling disease, abuse by a spouse, death of loved ones, not having many friends,
unemployment, financial problems, rejection by people, and failures. We are sure that many of you
reading this, can add to this list.

How often do we get the opportunity to express and “vent” what we are going through to others?  …..The
answer is: probably not enough or not at all.  How do we handle these emotions and the hurt?  Do they
subconsciously come out in our everyday dealings and contact with people?  If you take a look at world
events, we think you will agree that human pain helps shape a lot of history in our world.  We believe the
terrorist attacks around the world are born of people with damaged emotions that have never been given
the opportunity to heal.  It affects families with dysfunctional ties, passed from one generation to the next.
How can we walk in freedom unless we are able to dispense with the roots of bitterness?  How can we
ABATE of Florida Inc SOUTHWEST CHAPTER
39
begin to heal and begin to feel happy about life? What can you do to yourself to improve your
relationships with others? What tools can we find in scripture to help us?
The first thing which comes to mind is: 2 Corinthians 5
17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new
creation; the old has gone, the new has come!
18
All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself
through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:  It is one thing to read the word of God, but
it is another thing to fully accept and believe what God has done for you.  Do you realize this scripture
says we are free from everything in the past, when we accept Jesus Christ into our lives? The old has
gone and the new has come!  If you can receive the Lord, then we believe you can begin a renewing of
you mind and heart. Romans 12 1Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer
your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God--this is your spiritual
]
act of worship.
2
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of
your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and
perfect will. If you are going to renew your mind and begin to wipe those roots of bitterness and heal
damaged emotions, then offer yourselves as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God.
What else does God say? Matthew 6
13
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil
one.'
14
For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive
you.
15
But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. Matthew 18
21
Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, "Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he
sins against me? Up to seven times?"
22
Jesus answered, "I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-
seven times. Luke 6
37
"Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not
be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Do you see a pattern here?
Please realize it says in Romans 3
23
all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.  So,
understand that all are sinners and there is no such thing as a perfect father or mother, brother, sister,
other family member, church member, friend, husband or wife!  You have to understand, in dealing and/or
interacting with people, Ephesians 6
12
our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the
rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual
forces of evil in the heavenly realms. So, if you need to, blame what others do, on Satan.
Then, ask God to forgive your bitterness and invite Jesus into the center of your life. If you don’t like your
earthly father, then invite God to be your Father. If it’s a problem with a spouse, invite Jesus to be the
center of that marriage.  Ask Jesus to deal with the person who has provided the hurt.  Forgive them.
Pray for them. Realize your freedom in Jesus.  The world may let you down, but He never will. You must
Philippians 4
4
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
5
Let your gentleness be
evident to all. The Lord is near.
6
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer
and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
7
And the peace of God, which
transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
"Dear God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, my heavenly Father, I confess, I am a sinner
and have been separated from You.  I ask forgiveness of my sins. I repent and accept this gift of
repentance. I confess with my mouth that your son Jesus is my savior and died for me.  I believe
in my heart, You raised Him from the dead. I receive Jesus into my heart and ask Him to become
the center of my life. I ask, in the Name of Jesus.  Amen."
You are welcome to our home on Friday, October 3rd and December 5th for the Biker Bible Cafés, 7:45
PM, just 1.1 mile east of US 41 in San Carlos Park, 8201 Sanibel Boulevard, Fort Myers. There will be
only one hour of an open discussion lesson. Then, refreshments/desserts and fellowship afterwards…
Blessings,
