to all of you that took that first ride with us. We had a lot of fun with two cars and
about fifteen to twenty bikes on the ride. When we got there we found the
residents waiting for us and joined those singing Christmas carols.
We gave
them gifts that were collected by the Associates and Bruce L. Scheiner office.
They have been the corporate sponsors of this event for many years, and we
thank them for their support.
Some of you really worked your butts off for this chapter. You all know who you
are. I, and the board of directors, just want to say thank you from the Southwest
Chapter. Many deserve to be noticed for their support, however, I just want to
mention the safety team that got us to the center safely, lined up the bikes at
Harley Davidson of Ft. Myers, and the people that ran the tables’ downtown as
well as at the state meeting. I want to thank those that helped in planning these
events and following it through to completion. Some of us spent the evening with
Victor at our table at Bike Nite, and those folks know that Victor worked till he
could not work anymore, and then came out the following day to set up the
parking lot at Harley Davidson of Ft. Myers. He did that till he couldn’t walk or
stand anymore, thank you Victor for all that you do for the Southwest Chapter.
Next up will be our bike show at Victory Lane Café on January 21st, it is a
Wednesday night so come out and bring your bike to show it off and maybe win a
trophy. On January 25th we will have our annual chili cook-off and bike blessing
held this year at Harley Davidson of Ft Myers; it will be after our monthly chapter
meeting, hope to see you there.
In closing, it has been another year and the Southwest Chapter is doing well, we
continue to be a viable source of information and awareness in the motorcycling
community. Stay tuned for Ron Berg’s announcement of the schedule for the
MSAP coming in late January, anyone interested in becoming an instructor get
with either me or Ron.
