ABATE of Florida Inc SOUTHWEST CHAPTER
39
Chapter Chaplain Tom
Dear Fellow ABATE Members,
Are You Riding Alone?
It‘s one thing to read about motorcycling and ride all by yourself on some stretch of road.
But, most of us will agree it is another and more fulfilling experience to assemble and
ride with friends. Then, you can share the joy with others about the journey you took
together. You can also learn from the lessons imparted.
It’s one thing to read the word of God in your Bible, read messages through these open
letters, and “do your own thing” when it comes to God. However, it is another and more
fulfilling experience to assemble and communicate the good, bad, and ugly experiences
you’ve been facing with life in the company of others who care.
The scriptures tell us in Hebrews 10:24-26:
24
And let us consider and give attentive,
continuous care to watching over one another, studying how we may stir up
(stimulate and incite) to love and helpful deeds and noble activities,
25
Not
forsaking or neglecting to assemble together [as believers], as is the habit of
some people, but admonishing (warning, urging, and encouraging) one another,
and all the more faithfully as you see the day approaching.
Give it a try!  Come to our home on April 3rd and help us to celebrate the 2nd Anniversary
of the Biker Bible Café.  Be with other bikers (Please see the flyer in this newsletter for
details).
If you need to talk with us, at any time before that, please give us a call.
We need to be ready for the return of the Lord.  It could happen at any time.  Jesus said,
“I am the way, the truth, and the life.”  If you desire to ask Jesus into your life, for the
first time, and really mean it within your heart, we ask that you pray a simple prayer.
"Dear God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, my heavenly Father, I confess
that I am a sinner and have been separated from You.  I ask forgiveness of my
sins. I repent and accept this gift of repentance and I wish to be free in you. I
confess with my mouth that your son Jesus is my savior and died for me.  I
believe in my heart that You raised Him from the dead. I receive Jesus into my
heart and ask Him to become the center of my life. I ask, in the Name of Jesus.
Amen."
2 Corinthians 5:17 says, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the
old has gone, the new has come!"
Blessings,
