everyone, as always I hope this newsletter finds all in good health and
spirits.
Even though I open every president report with the same statement the fact is
that whether or not we are willing to admit it we are all getting older. With age
comes illness, and I mention this because I see this more often lately, we have
people in the hospital and running to the doctors office more than ever before,
and I guess its just that time in my life where these things will become more and
more prevalent. On that note I would like to wish Ken Teddybear Miller, my
most sincere and heartfelt condolences on the loss of his lovely bride Joanne
Dragonlady Miller, who was a long time supporter of the Southwest Chapter
and a life member. We love you Ken, and are here for you, your loss is our loss
and Dragonlady will be missed.
We had a state meeting up in Monticello, and also did our 14th Annual Freedom
Rights Rally and ride to the capitol. Our chapter was responsible for four (4) of
the proclamations submitted from Lee County for Motorcycle Safety and
Awareness month in May, and again this year Governor Crist signed the
proclamation.
There is a lot going on in the political arena and our state board and lobbyists are
working on issues pertaining to motorcyclists. If you want more info on what is
currently going on, go to our website and check it out, there is much too much to
cover in this report. You can also find discussion from the chapter meeting
