Views from the Vice President
Hello Brothers & sisters,
had a good month with most of the board going to Deland for the
Leadership Seminars. We all had a good time and picked up some
great information. The FIVE STAR event in Arcadia went well, and
the weather worked in our favor.
I would like to thank Rob & Lyn Assenzio for purchasing tickets and donating them back to the
chapter, also I would like to thank everybody who took time out of their day to help out and
volunteer their time, it is greatly appreciated. I say this on behalf of myself and Frankie; we know
it was a long day.
At the meeting on Sunday we talked about doing a phone tree to get more participation from the
membership. I would like to thank Big Bird, (Rob Crain) for stepping up and spear heading this
task with help from the board and others who volunteered to make phone calls. So when you
get a call to help out, please, it would be appreciated if you could spare just a couple of hours.
The CHRISTMAS Run and State Meeting is our Chapter’s next big event, and even though it is
not ‘till December, I am asking for volunteers NOW. We are going to need a lot of help as it is a
big undertaking. We will need all the help we can get making it a lot easier on all of us.
I am going to talk to Harley Davidson of Ft. Myers, and see if we can have them include a safety
bag with every bike purchase. It will contain a newsletter and safety material to promote
membership and explain the workings of ABATE (this will be for our chapter only).
